Alumni Spotlight

We are looking for successful alumni to feature in an alumni spotlight on the website. Please email alumni@bpa.org to submit a picture and a bio in order to get it posted on the website. The current featured alumni are found below:

April Flores

During her senior year at Channelview High School, April received an award for Computer-Aided Graphics in 2001 during a Regional Leadership Conference. For the last five years she has worked as a Graphic Designer in the greater Houston, TX area and has received an American InHouse Design Award for her exceptional layout design skills (recognized in GDUSA magazine, Vol 43/no.7) in August 2007. April continues to strive for leadership in her career.

In January 2008, she proposed participation with MPA (Magazine Publishers of America) to her employer to bring awareness to consumers in order to increase magazine recycling. This is an industry-wide public education campaign and April is happy to say that she made a small contribution. She hopes to continue on this path and enhance her ability to provide non-profit services in the future by utilizing her graphic design knowledge gained through her years in BPA.

Jaime Westgate

Jaime Westgate is an alumnus of Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School in Taunton, MA. As a Business Professionals of America member, Jaime served as a Chapter and State Officer from 2004-2005. She participated in several service projects including the Jolly Jaunt for Massachusetts Special Olympics.

Currently Jaime just bought a house in Carver, MA and works at Nestle Waters North America as a Key Account Collector. She continues to be involved with BPA as an Alumni Coordinator, volunteering her time at the MA State Leadership Conference every year, and attending the past two National Leadership Conferences to serve as a judge and volunteer.

Her plans for the future include returning to college in 2009 to earn her degree in Business Operations and continuing her involvement with Business Professionals of America at the State and National level.
