The Business Professionals of America club at Lowell High School recently held Red Ribbon Week activities during lunch periods for students.  BPA Chairperson Nina Ngin, a senior two-year member, selected items for giveaways and manned a table with Chapter volunteers during lunches in late October.

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention program in the national reaching millions of Americans.  BPA Chapter members gave away bracelets, lollipops, and tattoes to student body members who signed their banner pledging to be drug, tobacco, and alcohol free.  GREAT Lowell Police Department Officer Timothy Golden also donated GREAT backpack sacks for the cause and were given to students who wore red to support recognition of Red Ribbon Week activities.

For more information on Business Professionals of America activities at Lowell High School, students may attend meetings every Wednesday in Room 629 or see Advisor Mrs. McNamara for additional information.

Business Professionals of America members Brittany Bernardini and Merissa Snead greet students during lunches to sign the Red Ribbon Week banner.  The banner is now hanging in the cafeteria as a reminder of their pledge to remain drug, alcohol and tobacco free.
