        HALL OF FAME

        MRS. DIANA WEBER
        TEXAS BPA ASSOCIATION

Sometimes, when we reflect on our lives and the directions it has taken, we realize that everything happens for a reason and that some paths lead you right back where you began. This is the case for Diana Weber.

She began her OEA/VOE adventure somewhat by accident as she attended her aunt’s local chapter meetings as a small child. Mildred Woerndel was an active OEA/VOE advisor and the awards and plaques that decorated her classroom walls were a tribute to her students and their successes. As the “mascot” of the Seguin club, Diana loved to travel with the group and participate in all of the community activities. She was not able to officially join OEA until her sophomore year in high school and jumped in to serve as a local chapter officer and go on to be a state and national qualifier. She represented her region as Area 3, Region 3 President and served as Texas Historian in 1990 and was elected as National Parliamentarian in 1991. She continued her BPA involvement through college as a member and officer for the Texas BPA Alumni Association.

Upon graduation from Texas Lutheran College in December of 1995, she continued her education by attending Southwest Texas State University to obtain her certification to teach Business Education. Her life came full circle as she started teaching business education alongside her Aunt Mildred at Seguin High School in 1996. Working together, they grew the program and membership and continued to have winners at the area, state and national levels.

In her home state of Texas, Diana served on the Texas Board of Directors for 10 years by representing Area 3 and serving as the Secondary Regional Advisory Chair. During this time, she established the Texas Intern program and boasts over 500 interns serving each year during the Texas State Leadership Conference. In 2013, Diana was appointed to serve as the Texas State Advisor. She says this is the role that she was born to play. She loves being able to serve Texas BPA and see students succeed. She continues to teach at Seguin High School and sponsors a local BPA chapter as well as serving as the advisor for the Texas Secondary Virtual Chapter and Texas Middle Virtual Chapter. She lives in Seguin with her husband, Kelly and their children, Emilie, Luke andTrace.

Diana is a product of Business Professionals of America. She grew up with it, she lives it and it is something that is a part of her and who she has become. She looks forward to growing with Business Professionals of America and giving back the support and leadership that the organization has given her throughout her life.
