Selecting the Right Business for You Just as entrepreneurs come in a variety of packages, so do businesses. There are literally millions of different businesses in the world. You’ve probably never thought about it, but every business in your community was started by someone with an entrepreneurial idea. How did these entrepreneurs know which business was right for them? Many started as you just did — taking a personal inventory of their skills, talents, and attributes — then considering how to turn these into a product or service that meets a customer need. An excellent example of this is Tony Hawk, one of the world’s greatest skateboarders. Go to www.tonyhawk.com/bio.html and read how Tony used his talent and love for skateboarding to become an entrepreneur. As you read Tony’s story you may want to take notes. Click the link below to download a form that will record your knowledge of this famous entrepreneur. If you are taking this course for a grade or for credit, you will turn in this assignment to your advisor or teacher. Download Worksheet 5: Tony Hawk Summary Form This is a fill-in PDF form. You may either print the form and hand write the answers, or type your answers into the form and print. (Unless you have Adobe Acrobat on your machine, you will not be able to save your responses.)
