Mindset for Success When Daryl Bernstein was a teenager, he wrote a book called Better Than a Lemonade Stand, a collection of 51 business concepts he had tried before he turned 15. When someone in the media commented on the amazing number of businesses he had started at such a young age, Daryl simply explained, “Entrepreneurship is wildly exciting!” In a later book, The Venture Adventure, Daryl said that business is like going on a hike through the jungle. “You’ve got to be ready to run from the lion, avoid the waterfalls, and navigate the rivers if you want to make it in business,” he stated. “I am in business because I love it.” What is Daryl’s advice for other young people who are interested in business? “Find what you love to do — something that is a passion. Then do it well, and do it a lot.” According to Daryl, money is just a “by-product” of doing what you love and doing it better than anyone else around you.
