You are correct. You can get all the education in the world, but some things are only learned by running the business.
This is not a realistic viewpoint. Some things have to be learned by the experience of actually running the business.

Entrepreneurial Skills In addition to having a passion for your work and determination to accomplish your goals, starting a business requires specific entrepreneurial skills. You may not currently have all the abilities you need, but the good news is that many of these skills can be developed as your company grows. Four basic skills you will need in order to run a successful business are:
In addition to these four general business skills, to be competitive in today’s marketplace you will need highly-developed skills in your specific field of business. For example, if you start a restaurant, you’ll need training in food services, food safety, restaurant management, and possibly catering. Whether you design jewelry, cut hair, paint houses, kill bugs, repair cars, prepare tax returns, or give facials, you must strive to become the top person in your field if you want to grow your business and ultimately become a major corporation.
