Picking up where you left off...

The good news is that you are not starting from “scratch.” Little by little, all through the previous eight lessons and 16 activities, you have been developing key information for your business plan. So you may be farther along than you realize.

Before you go get started on Lesson 9, there are several things you need to do:

  1. Review Lesson 3 for a quick overview of the basic purposes and contents of a business plan.
  2. Make sure you have copies of the work you did on Activities 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15, and 16.
  3. If you haven’t already done so, conduct the market research you outlined in Activity 16. You will need this information to complete your business plan.

In Lesson 3, you learned that the three main subjects (or topics) covered in a business plan are:

Choice 1 Organization, Management and Operations
Choice 2 Organization, Marketing and Finances
Choice 3 Operations, Competition and Finances
Choice 4 All of the above
